about

Meet a sonic representation of Boreas, the Greek God of the North Wind. This mini-album by composer Mikael Lind is something like a more quiet cousin of his full-length album from the same year, Sounds that Escaped.

The piano is the foundation of every sound on Boreas, and Mikael used three simple piano recordings to make these six tracks out of them. To do this, he used various kinds of spectral processing of the source material. With the help of gentle distortion, as well as vinyl and tape effects, he shaped the material into an arctic sonic journey.
